removing html tag without affecting the properties of tag

I am using POI api(HSSFWorkbook) for download EXCEL, I've tried in jsp page when I used escapeHTML="false" then it is coming into jsp list page but while downloading
file the thing is that in my downloading content I used HTML tags and I want that html tag effects in EXCEL and I haven't idea, how to resolve please can you suggest me
