iOS Set MPMediaQuery as Alarm

I know how to play a song with notifications, but it’s possible to play a MPMediaQuery? If it’s no possible wit NSNotification, the only other way I guess is to set a timer that’s working in background and the play music. But I’m not sure if it’s possible and also if consuming too much buttery, anyway I don’t think is an elegant way.

Anyone know how to do it? Thanks
