I find a lot of articles, telling me to use the migration assistant, but so far i could not find any hint on backups not intended to work on different hardware. Can anybody confirm? Or does that at least work on different hardware but same model? I have to send in my mac and will probably get a new one, but using the migration method will not transfer 100% of all account settings. :(
