How do i specify URI for a web application(rather than the default URI i.e., Site Name/Alias)??

I am trying to change URI of a new web application that is under Default site & there are lot of web applications under default site(so don't want to change it as the default site level & can't register it at DNS too)Is it possible in IIS7
