what is wrong with this call to a stored procedure

call late_pmt(3, '2018-12-1')

Error Code: 1064. You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'NULL' at line 1

I know it will turn out to be something very simple, but I am currently stuck. Your help will be appreciated.
