Installing collectd-write-prometheus Centos 6

I have a CentOS 6.8 Linux VM that I am trying to install collectd-write_prometheus plugin on it, installing it requires a certain library that I can't seem to download: libprotobuf-c.so.0()(64bit)

Without this it refuses to install via rpm -ivh command. I tried to install protobuf-2.3.0-9.el6.x86_64 but it still throws the error:

  • libprotobuf-c.so.0()(64bit) is needed by collectd-write_prometheus-5.8.0.145.gca1cb27-8.el6.x86_64

On CentOS 7 I installed it with no problem, anyone know what I am missing here?
