Why does my hardcoded content disappears after each reload?

I'm currently building a simple LibraryBuilder App with VanillaJS,bootswatch, and HTML5 with codesandbox.io. Link provided below.The issue is whenever my page loads it only shows the initial books I've placed at the bottom for a split second and then they disappear. Also though, my console says no error, I'm also unable to see the new books that I've added. Is there anyway it to stay ?
